Efforts under way to help solve people's problems: CM

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that the government was striving hard for resolving problems of the people. Moreover, sincere efforts are being made under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for eliminating terrorism and energy crisis are yielding positive results, he added.
Talking to members of National and Provincial Assemblies of various districts of Punjab, the CM said that the eradication of terrorism is the voice of 180 million people of Pakistan and the nation has united to root out terrorists and make Pakistan a peaceful country.
He said that thousands of Pakistanis have laid down their lives in the war against terrorism and their sacrifices will not go in vain.
The CM said that the country cannot achieve progress and prosperity without eliminating terrorism. He said that Pak Army through operation Zarb-e-Azb has broken the back of terrorists and their facilitators, while effective measures have also been taken in Punjab under National Action Plan for rooting out the menace of terrorism.
He said that work on several energy projects was speedily under way across the country. Thousands of megawatt of electricity will be added to the national grid with the completion of energy projects by the end of 2017, he added.
He said that the increasing investment in the country reflects the confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and economic policies of the government.
Those who met the CM included Federal Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanvir Hussain, MNA Chaudhry Asad-ur-Rehman, MPA Inamullah Khan Niazi and former MNA Hanif Abbasi.
