Senior leader of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Senator Aitzaz Ahsan has said that most of the rulers would be behind bars if transparent accountability was held across the country. In an interview here on Sunday, Aitzaz Ahsan urged the ruling elite class to change its attitude of rudeness and alleged that some elements among the rulers were responsible for the crises faced by the party in power.
Expressing his dismay over the threats to PPP, he reminded that the incumbent government would have been thrown out if his party had not supported the PML-N during the sit-ins in the federal capital.
Aiztaz blamed that PPP has always been victimised in the name of accountability which was not fair and against democratic norms.
However, he said that PPP was not afraid of any kind of threat and will stand firm for its rightful demands.
