An agreement between the Technical and Vocational Training Authority and the Hashoo Foundation has signed on Friday at the former's secretariat to offer short courses on the hospitality sector. "The skills and food and beverage server" short courses will start in major cities of the Punjab. Chairman Irfan Qaiser Sheikh and Hashoo Foundation Projects Director Mohammad Sadiq signed the agreement.
Chairman Sheikh speaking with participants said, "Through this mutual collaboration and cooperation, the Hashoo Foundation will provide skills training services and carry out related activities with the highest standard of professional requirement. The Technical and Vocational Training Authority will be responsible for training curricula. Scholarship will be given to trainees during training. The Technical and Vocational Training Authority will provide curricula for conduct of training. Training activities carried out by the Hashoo Foundation will be monitored through an independent third party monitoring firm to ensure quality skills training delivery. The Technical and Vocational Training Authority will bear the expenses for the trainees. The Punjab Board of Technical Education and the Trade Testing Board will then give certificates to pass-outs." Projects Director Sadiq said, "We will be responsible for the selection of trainees. Fresh graduates meeting educational level will be given preference in case of exceeding enrolment limit of a course."
