Wapda's T-12 cricket tournament from December 22

With the objective to achieve highest physical fitness and fielding standards, Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) is introducing T-12 cricket format. In this regard, Wapda T-12 School Cricket Tournament-2015 is being held from December 22 to 30 here at Wapda Sports Complex.
Eight cricket teams of different schools ie, Crescent Model Higher Secondary School, Central Model High School, Saint Anthony's School, Government Islamia High School Lahore Cantt., Government High School CDG, Amer Sidhu, Lahore Grammer School, City School System and Wapda Schools are participating in the event.
Manager Cricket Wapda Haroon Saeed said the objective of the event is to develop an attractive format for school children, which provides strong base to exceptional fielding and ball to ball strategy formulation.
Cricketer Salman Butt said Pakistan cricket team lost major matches due to its poor fielding. He praised Wapda for introducing new format of T-12 cricket which will help provide new talent to national cricket.
Chairman Wapda Zafar Mehmood welcomed the initiative of Wapda Sports Board and announced to hold T-12 cricket event at four centres from next year and afterward at national level.
