Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has taken notice of cracks in mountains at different spots at district Abbottabad after the devastated earthquake of October 26, this year and for conducting detail survey had dispatched experts' teams of the Geology Department of Peshawar University.
The team of experts has inspected the mountains of Pind Kargo Khan, a suburban locality of Abbottabad and after review of the spots of cracks collected samples of stones from the area on which the experts will submit a report to PDMA in next few days.
Few days back, a big portion of the mountains at Pona area of Abbottabad was cracked and fallen into a deep ravine. Due to which the PDMA with the assistance of Geology Department of the University of Peshawar conducted a detail survey of the area and directed the district administration for provision of necessary relief to the people of the affected area.
