College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) has won credits in science, technology and medical education by receiving the Socrates Award 2015. A college spokesman said on Monday that Principal Professor Zaffar Ullah Chaudhry received the award during a grand ceremony of scientists and technologists in Oxford, Britain.
After receiving invitation by Pakistani High Commissioner in London, Ibn-e-Abbas, the principal visited the commission. CPSP Principal Professor Khalid Masood Gondal, college Senior Vice President and National Residency Programme Director Professor Aamir Zaman Khan also met the Presidents of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Paediatrics and Pathologists in London to exchange views on matters of mutual interest.
One agreement was also signed between the college and the Royal College of Pathologists to train doctors and allow fellows and trainee doctors to visit Britain. College delegation was assisted by Professor AS Chughtai and college co-ordinator in London Professor Habib-ur-Rahman.
