Sourav Ganguly bats for Indo-Pak series

23 Dec, 2015

Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly on Tuesday came out in support of a full-fledged series between Pakistan and India as the fate of the bilateral contest remains shrouded in uncertainty. Three days after BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur ruled out the possibility of a series between Pakistan and India, former India captain said he was personally in favour of bilateral cricket between the two arch-rivals.
"Pakistan-India contests are high-octane given the interest it garners in both countries. Personally I am in favor of a series," Ganguly said as quoted by Times of India. Pakistan and India were supposed to play in the United Arab Emirates in December for two Tests, five one-day internationals and two T20s. But the series was put on hold after the BCCI refused to send its team to the Middle East.
