Pakistan embassy in Ankara to commemorate Qauid's birth anniversary

Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara is organising an essay writing competition, in collaboration with the National Education Ministry of Turkey and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan. It was as part of celebrations to commemorate the 139th birth anniversary of the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Senior high school students of the 81 provinces of Turkey are participating in the competition, titled `Jinnah Young Writers Awards,' according to a message received here on Thursday.
The theme for the first edition of this prestigious award is `Pakistan-Turkey Relations: A Historical Perspective.' As per the laid down procedure, after evaluation by school administration, the District National Education Directorates will send the best essays to Provincial Education Directorate who in turn will forward one top essay to the National Education Ministry in Ankara for final evaluation by a panel of judges. Winners of the first, second and third prizes will be presented awards at a ceremony in Ankara in January 2016.
The award has been instituted with the support of Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The essay competition will be held annually, with an objective to raise greater awareness in the youth about the abiding ties between the peoples of Pakistan and Turkey and to pass on this rich tradition to coming generations.
