Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday without protocol paid a surprise visit to the route of Orange Line Metro Train. He reviewed the pace of construction activities on the project from Dera Gujran to Samanabad. He also presided over a meeting at the site office near University of Engineering & Technology and expressed his satisfaction over the pace of work and issued necessary instructions to concerned authorities and contractors.
Shahbaz inspected construction activities as well as talked to the labourers working on the project. He said that Lahore Orange Line Metro Train project will provide international standard transport facilities to the common man. He said that no compromise will be made on the quality of construction work.
The CM appreciated the high standard of construction activities and said that this standard should be maintained. Talking to the people, he said, that the temporary inconvenience will soon turn into permanent relief. Talking to the labourers, he said that they are working on a project of national importance and appreciated the hard work of the labourers. The CM said that this project will completely change transport culture in the province.
He said that work on the project should be continued with the same spirit of hard work and commitment and construction activities should be completed within stipulated period. He said that foolproof arrangements should be made on the entire route of the project for the safety of citizens.
