Jamaat-ud-Dawa Amir Hafiz Muhammad Saeed while commenting on the recent visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Pakistan has said that the national interests of Pakistan including Kashmir are being sacrificed for personal friendship with the Indian premier. He believed that the Modi's visit to Lahore had deepened the wounds of innocent Kashmiris that had been facing the extreme violence and genocide for more than 68 years.
JD Amir said that the people of Pakistan had not forgotten the massacre of innocent children at the Army Public School Peshawar and separation of East Pakistan which were the extreme acts of Indian terrorism, and they were not ready at all to accept the grand welcome of the Indian premier in their country.
Hafiz Saeed said Modi, just few hours prior to his visit to Lahore, had held Pakistan responsible for terrorism in Afghanistan and then he came here on a personal friendship visit. He said it was Modi who had confessed to and accepted medals for his role in dividing Pakistan, and how could such an enemy be welcomed in the country. He further said there could be no friendship with India until the resolution of Kashmir issue and asked Prime Minister Nawaz to eradicate the misconceptions that had been raised due to Modi's visit.
