'Moods of Sky' exhibition attracts admirers

An exhibition of paintings titled, "Moods of Sky" of Dr Sophiya Umar is continued at Ahmed Hassan Hall of Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry which was inaugurated by Ms Mehnaz Fareed Mughis Sheikh, the spouse of MCCI President Fareed Mughis and Ms Romana Tanvir A Sheikh wife of former FPCCI President Tanvir A Sheikh.
The show displays Dr Sophiya Umar's paintings done in beautifully adorned sky. The paintings depict planets, moon, sky stars, moonlight sky clouds, mountains, trees, forest landscapes nature fields, hill winter snow seasons, cold night dream fence manipulation Pakistani artist, Dr Sophiya Umar, is serving as an Assistant Professor in Institute of Art of Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan. She has been exploring identity related issues through her work and garnered high-profile attention at her exhibitions particularly new Art from Pakistan, held at the Paris.
President of MCCI Fareed Mughis A Sheikh has said that the response of young Pakistani artists to changing world and challenging environment around them proves vitality and versatility of Pakistani nation even in difficult circumstances. He was lauding the efforts of the Artists Sophiya Umar and participants of art exhibition launched at the Multanm Chamber on Saturday. He commended the efforts of the artist Dr Sophiya Umar said that she ever made attempt to lay the scenery onto the canvas.
