TDAP rejects allegation

29 Dec, 2015

TDAP strongly condemns the statement issued by Senator Haji Ghulam Ali & Mian Zahid Hussain in which various baseless allegations have been levelled against S. M. Muneer, Chief Executive TDAP.
It is clarified that the basic function of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan is to promote trade by facilitating exporters of the country and S. M. Muneer, Chief Executive TDAP, is taking part in trade promotional activities as per the mandate of TDAP to ensure positive trend in exports of Pakistan. Therefore, these promotional activities cannot be termed interference in the affairs of FPCCI.
A false impression is being created that Chief Executive TDAP is acting against the orders of honourable High Court of Islamabad. It is worth mentioning that honorable High Court of Islamabad did not restrict the official/trade promotional activities of Chief Executive TDAP defined in the TDAP act. Moreover, TDAP & its Chief Executive TDAP have been held responsible for the decrease of Exports of Pakistan by ignoring the fact that international recession is the major factor behind the export decline. The exports of China, India, Japan, etc have also witnessed negative trends like those of Pakistan during the same period. Chief Executive TDAP has no concern with the elections of FPCCI and TDAP is facilitating all exporters of the country without any discrimination. TDAP in its available resources is making efforts to enhance the exports of Pakistan, but TDAP and its Chief Executive cannot be blamed for the factors which are beyond their control. The baseless allegations of involvement of TDAP and its Chief Executive by a particular group may hamper the sincere efforts of TDAP to enhance the export the country.
