PDWP approves six uplift schemes costing Rs 2.52 billion

Punjab Planning & Development Department approved 6 development schemes of development sectors with an estimated cost of Rs 2520.676 million. These schemes were approved in the 20th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2015-16 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.
Provincial Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial departments also attended the meeting. According to spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included:
1. Faisalabad Link Roads Development Program (FLRDP) Faisalabad at the cost of Rs 695.500 million,
2. Development of infrastructure in industrial estate of small industries estates, Faisalabad at the cost of Rs 370.324 million,
3. Development of infrastructure in industrial estates of SIE-I Sialkot, SIE-I&II Gujranwala and SIE Bahawalpur at the cost of Rs 204.263 million,
4. Rehabilitation / improvement / construction of road from Kotmoman Bhabrah Road to Thathi Noor via Chak No 19/SB, Uppi, Abadai, Salam, Phullarwan & Thathi Noor length 34.58 km in District Sargodha at the cost of Rs 477.440 million,
5. Widening/improvement of Chakri Adda Harnianwalal via Bilawal Road I/C bridge over Sill River length -20 km, Rawalpindi at the cost of Rs 573.369 million and;
6. Third party assessment and validation of flood/rain rehabilitation works in nine (09) flood/rain effected divisions of Punjab (1st revision) at the cost of Rs 199.780 million.
