Trading activity picked up on the wholesale grain market on Saturday, where grams and Moong prices drifted lower on easy supply position, dealer said. On the cereals side, Moong Afghan lost Rs 525 to Rs 11600, Guwar, however, picked up Rs 200 to Rs 3700-3800 in the process of the trading, other commodities sustained week-end levels, dealer said.
On the grams side, grams Australia No 1 was down by Rs 50 to Rs 8750, grams Australia Dall No 2 also lost the same amount to Rs 10400, yellow peas Russia, however, gained Rs 75 to Rs 3800 and yellow peas Dall Russia also picked up Rs 150 to Rs 4300, they said. On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh new low type was unchanged at Rs 1900 while the good type was higher by Rs 50 to Rs 2150, they said. Not a single variation was seen on the rice side, they added.
