Recently, terrified people from San Diego flooded social media claiming to witness a line of strange lights appearing in the sky that vanished briefly.

On Wednesday night, San Diegans started sharing pictures of a line of bright lights illuminating the sky and vanished soon after. The lights sparked fears among people, confusing them as to what these lights were.

Soon after sunset, some round lights, looking like floating fireballs seemed to just hang in the sky. Soon the lights were accompanied by a set of a smaller one. However, after creating a brief show, the lines slowly started vanishing themselves and left people puzzled, reported Science Alert.

Another fireball ‘UFO’ seen lightening up Australian skies

A witness Uma Aggarwa told the San Diego Union-Tribune that she spotted the lights at 8:20pm., which would be a little more than an hour after sunset. “They were hovering in place and they were extremely bright. It was the craziest thing,” she said.

As expected, some people started to think of these lights as just another ‘UFO’ flying around in the sky.

However, the mystery was soon solved and the lights were confirmed to be a series of flares dropped from aircraft during a navy training exercise around 50km off the coast, a spokesperson told Fox 5.
