The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in the Punjab has given its backing to the Army Chief's anti-terrorism campaign against terror organisations in the province. Party Organiser, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar talking to party workers' delegations and the media at his office on Thursday threw his weight behind the Army, saying, "The nation salutes the Pakistan Army for its sacrifices in the war on terrorism."
He also said there was no doubt that the war on terror was not the Army's responsibility but that of every individual. Answering a question, he said that his party would ensure that the intra-party elections would be transparent. He then criticised the governing and Pakistan People's parties for being undemocratic.
