Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Preventive on Friday claimed to have recovered substantial quantity of white heroin from foreign passenger at Jinnah International Airport. According to details, preventive staff posted at departure hall intercepted a Nigerian, who was leaving to Lagos, a largest port city of Nigeria. Resultantly, the staff during examination of his luggage recovered 900 grams of white heroin.
Meanwhile, officials confirmed that this was intelligence based action and added that the market value of heroin packets, which were tactically sew in inner side of the jeans, was estimated to Rs 10 million. Consequent upon recovery, legal proceedings have been initiated and the passenger was taken into custody. Further investigation is underway.
