A quadrilateral meeting of Pakistan, Afghanistan, China and the United States will be held here on Monday (January 11) to push forward the peace process in Afghanistan. According to diplomatic sources, Secretary Foreign Affairs, Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry and Deputy Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, Hekmat Khalil Karzai will represent Pakistan and Afghanistan, respectively, in the meeting, which would also be attended by the representatives of China and US.
It may be mentioned here that decision about the quadrilateral co-ordination committee to push the peace process in Afghanistan was taken during a meeting of the four countries on the occasion of the Heart of Asia Conference held in Islamabad on December 9.
