Seven people died after a fire tore through a tourism complex at a beach resort on the outskirts of the Algerian capital on Wednesday, the civil defence service said. The fire erupted around 2:30 am (0130 GMT) at a bungalow in the Azur complex in the beach resort of Zeralda, about 20 kilometres (12 miles) west of the capital Algiers, official news agency APS quoted the civil defence service as saying. One person was also wounded, it said. There were no immediate details on the identities of the victims or the cause of the blaze, which fire-fighters extinguished at around 4:00 am.
