Makai prices were higher on the wholesale grain market on Wednesday in the process of modest trading, dealers said. On the grams side, Makai low type gained Rs 100 to Rs 2725 and the best quality was higher by Rs 75 to Rs 2750 due to tight supply position, Barley Sindh and Mardan low types were unchanged at Rs 3700 while the good type picked up Rs 100 to Rs 3900, they said.
On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag low type gained Rs 100 to Rs 2100 while the good variety was inert at Rs 2150, other items held the overnight levels, they said. Prices were unchanged on the grams and rice sides, they said.
