In a bid to keep the Pakistan Super League free of corruption, the Pakistan Cricket Board has arranged an anti-corruption workshop at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. Martin Vertigen, the Co-ordinator of the Intelligence, Anti-Corruption and Security Unit, the International Cricket Council on Tuesday delivered a lecture to educate League franchisers about an anti-corruption strategy and various measures to curb corruption.
Those also attending the workshop were representatives of all five franchises, the League management and integrity officers of all five teams. Co-ordinator Vertigen briefed his audience about how to fight corruption. Mohammad Azam, the board Security and Anti-Corruption Director, was also present. The board is to continue to engage in this activity in the future and follow its zero-tolerance policy.
