Two held for involvement in Hundi

Two people have been arrested after being found guilty of involvement in the illegal money transfer Hundi following a raid by the Federal Investigation Agency. The arrests came on Wednesday as an agency team raided the Naqi Market on the Mall in Lahore. The accused were just identified as Shafqat and Munir. The team also managed to confiscate prize bonds worth up to Rs 406,000, a cash of up to Rs 250000 and hundi receipts.
In another incident, the agency also managed to arrest a contractor of the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, Muhammad Islam, after being found guilty of embezzling up to Rs 37,100,000. The wrongdoer made a lot of money under the pretext of work orders and payment certificates. An agency investigation has been launched.
