Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) condemned the cowardly terrorist attack on Bacha Khan University, Charsadda, in which 20 persons were martyred. Secretary General of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and Chief Organiser Major Mohammed Saeed (Retd) expressed their concern over the acts of terrorism in the first month of the year and said that it is a point of concern and the rulers instead of taking credit for the success of Operation Zarb-e-Azb must get the National Action Plan implemented to control terrorism, said a statement issued on Wednesday by PAT.
Expressing their grievances on the terrorist act in Charsadda on Wednesday, the PAT leaders offered their condolences to the families of the martyred students and teachers. They said that terrorism is the prime threat to the solidarity of the country. They said the rulers were never serious in the elimination of terrorism from the country and that is why the National Action Plan has not been implemented in totality. They said for the same reason the duration for the military courts were set for only two years. He said as soon as these courts started giving decisions the process of appeals started, thus blocking the smooth working of these military courts.
They said that soon PAT and Minajul Quran will start a signature campaign in all the educational institutions of the country for the elimination of terrorism from the country. They said PAT campaign will not end till the total elimination of terrorism from Pakistan.
