Pakistan Cricket team’s chief selector Inzamam ul Haq has announced the 16-member squad for the upcoming Asia Cup.

Veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has been dropped from the squad while Shan Masood made his return to the side.

Announcing the squad in Lahore, the Chief Selector cleared that Hafeez is included in 20 member probable squad for the 2019 World Cup.

“This time we have given chance to Shan Masood because he is in our probable squad too. As far as Hafeez is concerned he is meeting out criteria. He should not get disappointed he is in our plans,” he added.

Commenting on Imad Wasim, he said he hasn’t passed fitness test. “if you want to play for Pakistan you should be fit.”

While giving his views on Virat Kohli, Inzamam said, “Virat is a big player for India. I don’t know why he was rested. However, I think we should go with our full strength for the Asia Cup.”
