Former Interior Minister and chief of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has called for indiscrimination against terrorists across the country including Southern Punjab. Talking to media in Totano Banda, district Swat Saturday, he said that till the coming of federal and provincial governments on one page, terrorism could not be eliminated.
The QWP chief said that the terrorists escaped due to the operations of Swat and Zarb-e-Azb had taken refuge in Afghanistan and other areas and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is soft target for them. He said that the whole nation is in profound grief over Charsadda tragedy and this incident is big loss of the nation. He said that operation in Karachi and FATA is in progress and successful operation was also conducted in Malakand Division, but indiscriminate operation should also be conducted in southern Punjab which has become the centre of jihadist organisations.
The former interior minister said that he also have reservations on National Action Plan (NAP), as till now all of its points were not implemented. He said that until joining hands by military, civilian institutions and civil administration triumph in this regard could not be achieved. He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had suffered a lot and now the whole country had to pay attention to it.
