The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has invited bids for Pre-shipment Inspection of 15,000 tons of IRRI-6 rice to be exported to Niger. The TCP has invited offers from reputed PSI companies duly accredited with Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC), dealing in commodities' inspection and also registered with income tax & sales tax departments.
The selected company will be responsible for pre-shipment inspection of IRRI-6 rice in bags as per international trade practice meant for export to Niger, at the godowns/mills of supplier and during loading of cargo at load port, beside supervision of loading of cargo at the godowns/mills of supplier, unloading at load port and loading on the vessel.
According to the tender documents, the PSI bodies/ firms/companies having valid Inspection license/certificate, duly accredited by PNAC for inspection of commodities are eligible for participation.
However, the companies who have defaulted with the TCP are not eligible to participate in the tender process. Moreover, those who have not fulfilled their contractual obligations with the TCP will also not be eligible to participate in the process, unless they clear their dues along with penalties or fulfil their contractual obligations with the TCP, as the case may be, before the tender opening date, it added.
The interested companies have been asked to submit their bids in sealed envelopes up to 1030 hours on Monday, the 25th January, 2016. The bids will be opened on the same day in the TCP's board room, 30 minutes after the deadline for the submission of bids, ie, 1100 hours in the presence of the bidders or their authorised representatives who may wish to present. As per the tender document, the submitted offers will remain valid for acceptance for fifteen (15) days from the date of opening of tender.
