President Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians and former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has condoled the death of renowned Punjabi poetess Nasreen Anjum Bhatti. Nasreen Anjum Bhatti was a voice of dissent during General Zia-ul-Haq's dictatorship. She paid tributes to Quaid-e-Awam Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto at the time when he was imprisoned and then he was judicially murdered. She struggled against dictatorship and for restoration of democracy with utmost dedication.
She was a government servant and had put her service on stake. She did not succumbed to any pressure and continued to express herself through her poetry.-PR
