Alam Al-Kahyal Tennis ends Nofil, Noor emerge as junior champions

Syed Nofil Kaleem and Noor Malik have emerged as new junior champions in the second Alam Al-Kahyal Tennis Ranking Championship 2016 at the Bagh-i-Jinnah Tennis Courts in Lahore. The thrilling finals took place in a chilly weather followed by an all-children tennis mela which was arranged by the Alam AL-Kahyal. The under-10 final: Bilal Asim beat Maha said 9-7. The under-12 final: Sami Zaib beat Abdul Hanan Khan 8-2.
The under-14 final: Shoaib Khan beat Abdul Sami 6-1, 5-7, 6-2. Under-18 doubles: a thrilling final witnessed Syed Nofil Kaleem and Harris Irfan ul Haq wining against Aman Attique Khan and Talha Bin Asif by 6-2, 7-5. Aman Atiq Khan former defending doubles champion also lost doubles after lost in singles semi-finals. The Under-18 girls' main final: Esha Jawad again fell short against defending champion Noor Malik, Noor Malik daughter of Rasheed Malik played some great game of tennis. She out class Esha Jawad. Two months ago both play a final and this is replay of that final. Esha lost 6-4, 6-0.
Under-18 boys' main event: Syed Nofil Kaleem won against Harris Irfan ul Haq. Both played a good game of final but Nofil outclass Harris with straight sets and won the final by 6-2, 6-3. In the concluding ceremony, chief guest Saira Qazi Dar distributed trophies and cash prizes to winners and runners-up. Those also present amidst spectators were Alam Al-Khayal Foundation President Barrister Nudra Majeed, Punjab Lawn Tennis Association Secretary Raseed Malik and chief referee Faheem Siddique.
