Hazrat Umar's extensive golden era was due to the system of reward and punishment as a strict Administrator. Obeying both laws of the land and divine are essential for success in our society. Comparative study of our good and bad practices can lead us to the right path. These thoughts were shared by renowned Islamic scholar and author of four Islamic books Kahay Faqeer, Faqeer Rang, Faqeer Nagri and Lohe Faqeer Syed Sarfraz Ahmed Shah at a sitting on the topic of "Problems of ethical values in Pakistan" held on Sunday at TECH Society Club Lahore.
A large number of intellectuals including TV anchor Sajjad Mir, columnist Qayyum Nizami, Dr Muhammad Sadiq, General Zulfiqar Ali Khan (R), Jameel Gishkori, Zubair Sheikh, Dr Hasibullah, Engr Mahmudur Rehman Chughtai, Engr Abdul Majeed Khan, Professor Mubashra Hameed and others participated.
Sarfraz Shah said that human rights are actually code of ethics which are required for interaction of various peoples collectively living in a society. To resolve our issues it is necessary to find out root causes of the problems, fix responsibilities and take corrective measures, he added.
