The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) has expressed concern over the mysterious survey being conducted in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) by Indian Army and police. The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar on Sunday asked the authorities to explain why the people were being forced to mention their sect instead of religion in the survey form, Kashmir Media Service reported.
The statement said the personnel of Indian Army and police during their door-to-door visit ask unnecessary questions and harass the inmates. The conference said, after failing to crush Kashmiris' freedom movement through policies based on military might, India is now planning to divide the people on sectarian lines.
APHC Secretary General, Shabbir Ahmad Shah said that the silence of United Nations and world community was encouraging Indian occupational forces to continue committing grave human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir.
