Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid has said that it was the responsibility of the state to ensure security of life and property of the citizens.
Speaking to media persons here, he said the schools were even closed in the United States following terror incidents but it does not mean the state has succumbed to terrorists and militants.
The minister said that foreign hands could do nothing in a country without getting internal support. "We have to deal with the internal forces working against the state," he said, adding the prime minister had committed to bring all culprits involved in different crimes in Karachi to justice.
Pakistan has been playing an active role in elimination of terrorism and militancy throughout the world, he said, adding that "many terror incidents have been thwarted following active intelligence reports."
The minister further said the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) supports the national action plan against terrorism while operation Zarb-e-Azb would continue with full force.
