Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin has said that due to effective steps of the government, prices of edible items are under control and available to the people in abundance on affordable rates in Sunday and Model Bazaars. He said that due to government mechanism, daily use items are available to the people at cheaper rates in Sunday bazaars.
He expressed these views while talking to journalists during his visit to Shadman Sunday Bazaar here on Sunday.
TMO Data Gunj Bakhsh Town also accompanied the minister. The minister said that district administration, in the light of vision of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, is continuing action against adulterators, hoarders and profiteers and daily use commodities are available to the masses at cheaper rates in abundance. He said that instructions have been issued to district administration for strictly implementing price control mechanism.
The minister inquired from consumers about conditions of Sunday bazaars, upon which they said that parking system and security arrangements should be improved. The minister ordered TMO to address complaints of the consumers in future. He said that aim of setting up of Sunday bazaars is not only provision of quality items to the people but make available all edible items in the bazaars at cheaper rates.
