Social media tech firm Facebook has sued BlackBerry for patent infringement as it claims that the smartphone manufacturer stole its voice-messaging technology and other patented processes.

Facebook is suing BlackBerry for patent infringement where Facebook accused BlackBerry of infringing on multiple patented process and technologies, as per a report from Bloomberg.

BlackBerry sues Facebook over messaging apps

The tech giant has asked BlackBerry for unspecified damages for infringement of six patents, infringed on technologies surrounding voice messaging, tracking and analysis of GPS data, and how a mobile device delivers graphics, video and audio.

According to CNET, the lawsuit comes months after BlackBerry sued Facebook back in March claiming that the firm infringed on its mobile messaging tech for its own Messenger, and its Instagram and WhatsApp subsidiaries.
