Overseas Pakistanis: one-window facilitation desk at airports to be inaugurated

One Window Facilitation Desk for Overseas Pakistanis will be inaugurated at International Airport on February 9. The facilitation desk has been set up under the Federal Ombudsman's initiatives to facilitate the Overseas Pakistanis at airports.
Official sources told Business Recorder on Sunday that a mechanism for resolution of complaints at one window facilitation desk at airports had already been prepared to facilitate the Overseas Pakistanis and under mechanism all unresolved complaints will be heard at Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan and Sialkot airports or Skype and video link in future.
All complaints received at facilitation desk and by CAA at airports will be resolved in 72 hours under intimation to complainant and this secretariat and this would also apply to international airlines operating in Pakistan airports.
A strategy of lost baggage at airports has been made with the co-ordination of all stakeholders adding that agencies have been advised to show courteous behaviour towards overseas Pakistanis at airports.
The steps have been taken for streamlining the issues of taxi matters at airports adding that maximum pending complaints at airports have been settled, sources added. It is expected that Federal Ombudsman will inaugurate the 7th One Window Facilitation Desk for Overseas Pakistanis at Sialkot International Airport.
