Varun Dhawan appreciates Mahira Khan’s efforts to help Afghan refugees

Mahira Khan, who is recently working with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), has made a short visit to Afghan refugees in Karachi.

On Wednesday the actress posted heartwarming posts of two boys in which one of them is singing a song from Varun Dhawan’s film ‘Judwaa 2’. Tagging Varun in the caption Mahira wrote, “These two boys followed me around the whole time. They hadn’t watched any of my films but they insisted they knew someone called Raja. They said ‘Raja hero hai!’”.

Appreciating Mahira’s work and sending love to Pakistan, Varun replied to her post saying, "That’s so amazing that you’re doing this work Mahira Khan. I saw the video and it brought a big smile to my face. Sending lots of love, thank you for sharing”.

Mahira Khan also said that Pakistan is one of the most generous countries to host Afghan refugees. She wrote, “A lot of times my job has allowed me to witness days and moments that humble me. Today was one of those days. Today I’m also proud to say that my country is one of the most generous countries of the world”.
