The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has started working in small cities to expand its tax net to tap existing potential. After opening a three-day IT exhibition arranged by Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Zong on Thursday, Punjab Excise and Taxation Minister Mian Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman revealed this while talking to media persons.
"Following the 18th Amendment, the province has attached its priority to increase revenue from local resources. The motor vehicles data has already been computerised in all the 36 districts of the Punjab. As far as the property tax is concerned, the Excise and Taxation Department has computerised it in six districts while PC-I has been approved for the rest of the districts in the province," the minister said.
