AJK Chapter in Lahore inaugurated: Imran urges party workers to gear up for intra-party polls

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said, "We stand in solidarity with Kashmiri people and for their rights and freedom." He was addressing at the opening ceremony of the party's Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chapter in Lahore at the home of Azad Kashmir-based party Secretary General Dewan Ghulam Mohiuddin, the party chief also warned that his party would never tolerate rigging.
He then urged the Election Commission's neutrality, saying that "because without that elections cannot be transparent". He claimed the ruling party could never win without rigging. "The PML-N party has a history of rigging and it has never contested the elections fairly."
He also demanded army deployment in all polling stations in the upcoming elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir expecting to take place in May. He also told party workers to gear up for the intra-party elections, saying, "The Insaf is the only party in the country who gives chance to party workers at the grassroots level to play their role in the party."
He announced that the party elections would be held at all districts, union councils, tehsils, regional and provincial and federal regions, but made it clear that at union councils the elections would be held in only those councils where the party had lost the Local Body elections. Those also present were central leader Jahangir Khan Tareen, Abdul Aleem Khan and former Azad Jammu and Kashmir premier Sultan Mahmood.
