104 held in crackdown against profiteers, encroachments

District administration has arrested 104 persons in crackdown against profiteers and encroachment mafia in different parts of the provincial metropolis. According to details, on the directives of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar, the Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC), Javed Anwar conducted raids at Khazana, Charsadda Road and arrested 22 profiteers.
During the operation, cleanliness and weight of at famous Misri Khan Kababi was also checked and found correct while cleanliness conditions were also satisfactory.
Similarly, AAC, Imran Khan conducted raids in the surrounding localities of Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) arrested 16 profiteers while AAC Fazilat Jehan arrested 18 encroachers from Khattak and Yousafzai Markets, Hayatabad.
Furthermore, AAC Mir Khawas Khan carried operation against profiteers and encroachment mafia in Bana Mari and Yakatoot and arrested 18 persons while AAC Sohail Aziz arrested 12 butchers from Hashtnagri area.
The arrested persons were included bakers (nanbais), vegetable vendours, general stores, grocery shops owners and encroachment mafia, which will be dealt as per law of the country.
