16 Feb, 2016

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday issued notices to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and members of a business family in connection with purchase of the internationally acclaimed Saint James' Hotel. A division bench comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani while issuing notices directed NAB, FIA, SBP to submit comments and para-wise replies within a fortnight.
The bench also put members of the business family on notice in the case. The chairman of the Pakistan Welfare Party, Muhammad Farooq Sulehria, through his counsel Shoaib Razzaq has challenged the act of allegedly transferring millions of dollars abroad for the purchase of the hotel.
