Profiteers, encroachment mafia 101 held during crackdown in Peshawar

District administration Peshawar arrested 101 persons during crackdown against profiteers and encroachment mafia in different parts of the district. According to details, on the directives of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Riaz Khan Meshud, Additional Assistant Commissioner (AAC), Bashir Ahmad conducted raids against encroachments in the Khazana locality of Charsadda Road and arrested 15 persons while the manager of illegal Suzuki stand at Bakhshu Pul near Chargano Kalley was also arrested and sent to prison.
Similarly, AAC Ahmad Kamal conducted raids in Badhber while AAC Syed Shah Zeb arrested 15 persons for profiteering and encroachments from Nasirbagh. AAC Mir Khawas Khan conducted raids in Bana Mari and arrested 12 profiteers while AAC Sohail Aziz with the assistance of traffic police conducted operation in Khushal Bazaar, Hashtnagri Phatak and took into custody 25 persons for making illegal encroachments.
AAC Anwarul Haq arrested six persons for violation of meat-holiday and AAC Abdul Nabi arrested two persons from Torey Kababi, Dalazak Road for selling meat in violation of meat-holiday while AAC Imran Khan conducted raids in Tehkal area and arrested eight profiteers including the proprietor of a general store, vegetable seller and fresh milk seller.
Furthermore, AAC Mahmood Ahmad conducted raids in University Town and arrested five profiteers. According to district administration crackdown against profiteers and encroachment mafia will continue and arrested people will be dealt under the framework of the concerned Act of law.
