The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) team sealed five hotels in the provincial metropolis on Friday over non-compliance of registration and non-payment of the Punjab Sales Tax. The PRA sources told Business Recorder here on Friday that an enforcement team of the Authority led by its Deputy Commissioner Aman Anwar Kedwaii checked the hotels in the provincial metropolis to ensure compliance of the Punjab Sales Tax Act.
It sealed five different hotels including Hotel Galaxy in K Block Gulberg-III, the Lotus Model Town Extension, Luxury Palace Babar Block Garden Town and Eden Palace Usman B lock Garden Town on the charges of non-compliance of the PRA act.
Sources said these hotels although were registered with the Authority for last so many months but they were not reporting any activity or depositing tax. Now these have been sealed and only be opened after following the due process which include filing of sales tax returns by these hotels for all the months and deposit of the money.
