Rozgar scheme 63 auto rickshaws to be given to the poor: minister

Provincial Minister for Zakat & Usher, Malik Nadeem Kamran has said that the first phase of 'Mustehik Zakat to Sahib-e-Nisab' Rozgar scheme will be launched on Wednesday, February 24. He said that 63 auto rickshaws will be distributed free of cost among mustehkeen zakat for their permanent rehabilitation. He said that the basic objective of this scheme is to help mustehkeen zakat once enabling them to stand on their own feet. He said that all arrangements for distribution of auto rickshaws have been completed.
He disclosed this while presiding over a high level meeting with regard to giving a final shape to the arrangements of rozgar scheme, here Saturday. Secretary Zakat & Usher Habib ur Rehman Gillani, Administrator Zakat Muhammad Yousaf Butt and other concerned officers were present on the occasion. The Provincial Minister said that strict conditions have been imposed regarding free distribution of auto rickshaws among mustehkeen zakat and auto rickshaws will be given only to those fulfilling these conditions.
Malik Kamran said that implementation of policy and method evolved by Provincial Zakat Council regarding distribution of auto rickshaws among mustehkeen zakat will be ensured. He said that as a pilot project, this scheme is being started in 9 districts of divisional headquarters of the province and six or seven auto rickshaws will be distributed among mustehkeen of every district.
