Islamabad United toppled Karachi Kings by nine wickets in the second playoff of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday. They will now face Peshawar Zalmi in 3rd Qualifying Final today (Sunday). Credit for an easy win mainly goes to United bowler Mohammad Sami for taking 5 wickets of Karachi Kings and then to United's batsmen Brad Haddin and Dwayne Smith who contributed 52 and 50 runs respectively.
Islamabad United won the toss and chose to field first. Their bowlers restricted the Karachi Kings batsmen to lowest PSL score of 111 runs. Kings captain Ravi Bopara's 37 runs was highest in addition to Simmons 19 and Doeschate's 16 runs. Their first four wickets fell at the score between 20 and 39 runs. Last five batsmen were dismissed between score of 88 to 111. Riki Wessels (one), Ravi Bopara (37), Ryan Ten Doeschate (16), Imad Wasim (six) and Usama Mir (zero) were knocked down by Mohammad Sami. Andre Russell claimed two wickets while Mohammad Irfan and Samuel Badree dismissed one each.
