Bethak School's students shine at flower show

Under privileged students studying at Bethak School have grabbed the lime light at a flower show, being organised by the Pakistan Horticulture Society at DHA, Karachi. The students, belonging to poor families managed to secure first position and were awarded with a trophy by the chief guest Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar.
The Bethak School Network is being run by a non-governmental organisation (NGO) Society for Educational Welfare to provide opportunities for quality educational to students at various Goths and far flung areas. The winner students set-up a model of forest at the show where they demonstrated to highlight the importance of trees and plants to avoid heat strokes and heat waves like situations. The show was aimed at providing awareness to the visitors regarding deadly heat waves and the durable solution of the issue.
Anbareen Gazanfar of the society said that the welfare educational project not only provides quality education in remote areas but provision of awareness on social needs is also among its top priorities. She appreciated the team wok execution on the theme chosen by students. Citing the talent and efforts of the under privileged children, she hoped for a prosperous and better Pakistan. A large number of people are visiting the stalls of the Bethak School to review their project. The flower would continue till Sunday.-PR
