Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Friday met a cancer patient Anwarullah Afridi, to fulfil his most cherished wish to meet him. The prime minister warmly met Anwarullah and inquired about his health and spent some cheerful moments filled with motivation and appreciation, a PM's Office statement said. The Prime Minister asked Anwarullah about his family and hobbies.
Nawaz Sharif prayed for the recovery and good health of Anwarullah Afridi and told him that he was a source of inspiration and courage for all. He asked Anwarullah to stand brave and courageous as God helps those who help themselves. The prime minister also asked him about his studies. He said that granting wishes of such children change their lives a great deal.
The 'Make a Wish' compels us to exceed the expectations of every 'wish kid' and drives us to ensure that our attention has a far reaching impact, the prime minister said. Anwarullah expressed his desire to meet Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, to which the Prime Minister directed the concerned officials for arranging the meeting at the earliest. Anwarullah expressed excitement over getting the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and said his wish had come true. He shared with prime minister about his experience of a foreign visit, particularly his meeting with Malala.
