NAB re-arrests former DG FDMA, brother

National Accountability Bureau (NAB), KP has re-arrested accused Arshad Khan, ex-Director General FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) and his brother Dr Muhammad Arif, who is also his front man, allegedly involved in accumulation of illegal assets worth millions of rupees. During the course of inquiry, it was revealed that accused Arshad Khan remained posted on key positions including DCO Malakand, DG FDMA & DG Excise from 2008 to 2014.
Accused Arshad Khan, when he was as DG FDMA, piled assets worth millions of rupees in his name and in the name of his real brother Dr Muhammad Arif. Their properties, being disproportionate to their known sources of income, include 10 Marlas House at Askari VI, Nasir Bagh Road Peshawar, 25 Marlas Hujra at Mouza Malakand Peshawar, 5 Marlas Awami Villa at Bahria Town Rawalpindi, 43 marlas commercial plot at University Road, Peshawar acquired in 2013 worth of Rs 70 million and two expensive plots in Kanju Town, Swat.
