Corps Commander, Sindh CM discuss NAP implementation

Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah here at CM House on Tuesday and discussed issues pertaining to security in the metropolis and across the province. The Chief Minister and the corps commander discussed over all law & order situation in the province, particularly in Karachi. Operation against terrorist, targeted operation against, implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) and such other issues they also discussed.
In their one-on-one meeting they also discussed the implementation of Apex Committee decisions such as establishment of Anti-terrorism Courts, strengthening of investigation and proper follow up of high profile cases.
The chief minister said that he has directed the new IGP AD Khwaja to strengthen investigation system in support of strong prosecution. "The decision taken in the Apex Committee regarding incentives for Investigation Officers (IOs) is being implemented," he said and added that for the purpose necessary instructions had been issued. The government was committed to implement the NAP in true letter and spirit. The police was being strengthened by procuring necessary equipments.
