The Centre for Governance and Policy at the IT University of Punjab is arranging its first annual conference "Afkaar-e-Taaza" (rescuing the past, shaping the future) from April 1 to 3, at Alhamra Cultural Complex at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Fifty scholars from top world-class universities of 12 countries will speak. The concept behind the event is to replicate the rigour of an academic conference with paper presentations, with the ease and accessibility of a literature festival, by engaging scholars in a lively discussion about their research with the public."
