Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif distributed prizes among the winning players in the prize distribution ceremony of first Chief Minister's Cup Golf Tournament at Lahore Gymkhana Golf Club Sunday and congratulated them on their success.
Addressing the ceremony in a pleasant manner, the Chief Minister said that golf is a best game but it needs more time and it is also learnt that by coming in the field of golf, the players become free of every kind of worry.
Shahbaz Sharif said that he has never played golf but sports are necessary for healthy life.
During his address, the Chief Minister said in a pleasant mood that the players scoring net 70, net 71 and net 73 have won in the golf, then they should be sent to India for next T20 match as if they had made such score in golf then these players can surely win the match in India, upon which, the audience enjoyed very much.
Shahbaz Sharif said that sports play an important role in a healthy society. He also congratulated management committee on successful holding of first "Chief Minister's Cup Golf Tournament".
Former Chief Secretary Perviaz Masood and Chairman Lahore Gymkhana Club Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman presented souvenir to the Chief Minister. Convener Golf Agha Ali Imam, sponsor Shaukat Hassan and Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman also spoke on the occasion.
