Indian markets closed for public holidays

India's debt, stock, and currency markets will be closed on Thursday and Friday for public holidays. Trading will resume on Monday. The broader NSE index ended up 0.02 percent on Wednesday, while the benchmark BSE index rose 0.03 percent. The benchmark 10-year bond rose 1 basis point to 7.51 percent from the previous close. The Indian rupee strengthened to 66.6350/6450 per dollar from its 66.71/72 close on Tuesday.
